I'll have any macaron. Is there really such a thing as a bad-tasting macaron? How bad could it be? It's just like tasting jelly bellies. I like them to surprise me... Veronique (French Girl in Seattle)

Food always looks so appetizing in France. The French seem to have a way of presenting food and desserts that are very pleasing to the eye and these macarons are no exception! Striking display!! :)

Are all macarons displayed like that, like little Christmas trees?

I want chocolate, raspberry, and peppermint. Oh, and caramel.

Je préfère la framboise!

Pour ne pas etre embrouillée par l'embarras de choix, c'est toujours le caramel au beurre salé pour moi. Miam, V!

One can never go wrong with any flavor, but caramel beurre, pistache, and chocolate/fleur de sel would make me very happy.

A little bit of confectionary heaven, right there in gay Paree.

Well it looks like mes amis have very different tastes in macarons. That's as it should be. And for the record, I love just one at a sitting and lean towards my friend Alain's tastes.

As I don't generally eat sweet desserts I've only had one & it was at Dalloyau across from Jardin du Luxembourg...They are a little institution, aren't they?

Bill said...

May I have one of each, please?

I love the macarons towers in the windows of the Parisian pâtisseries. My favourite flavour is pistache.

The last time I went to buy macarons for friends at Laduree's they were 7 euros a piece!
